Famous horses have been featured in works of art for since the dawn of time, in the days of old a prize stallion would be immortalized in oil and the canvas hung proudly above its owners mantle for all to admire. Today your prize pony can also be immortalized and hung for admiration with an original print from the ‘Automotive Michelangelo’ himself, Mr Danny Whitfield. For a limited time with the purchase of a new Ford Mustang from Raceway Ford in Riverside, CA, you will receive a framed print signed by the artist of your new car purchased for you by our own Mustang Man, Mike theCarGuy. Imagine having your co-workers admiration of your new Mustang when they see it hanging on your office wall or your friends and family being able to see your prized stallion as it hangs prominently on a wall in your home! The remaining 2014 Mustangs are moving briskly so time is critical, if you have your sights on a new Pony the time is now, and when you buy your new car you will get one to hang on the wall too!
About the Artist:
From the DannyWhitfield.com website…
“Danny Whitfield was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, “Auto Capital of the World, He brought his vision of art and cars to the fore front and has been the key artist in making automotive art a respected form in the industry. Whitfield has a magical ability to bring out the beauty of an automobile and expression vividly onto canvas. He has the ability to paint and draw and does many forms of art from scenic, architectural, to portrait images. However his affinity and love for automobile is his first love. Ever since he was five years old he’s been drawing cars. This is his passion! After attending Center of Creative College in Detroit and Macomb County College in Warren Michigan, He began his career working for the Ford Motor Company, and many other Auto motive design firms as an Artist, Stylist, Designer and Illustrator. Whitfield gained much experience and enjoyed his time greatly working in the industry, yet something inside was driving him in a different direction. Whitfield enjoyed most creating his own fine art pieces. During a time when automotive art was more popular at car shows Whitfield began presenting pieces in this forum to enthusiasts at these venues. This was not an easy task as most were somewhat selective on who they accept into their close nit groups. Plus the fact many local galleries didn’t seem to accept cars as art nor were not happy to see Whitfield achieve success. Many enthusiasts wanted to see his work but were denied that privilege based on the “Good old boy” networks. This had little effect on him as he was determined to share his love for automobile art with the world. With every obstacle placed before him he overcame them all and continued his journey.
As time moved on Whitfield established his business officially and with the age of technology he has now been able to move from art in the galleries into a much broader audience. With the birth of the Internet and social networks such as Facebook- Twitter and so on, Whitfield exploded onto the scene. No longer held down by the restrictive galleries and other businesses he moved on to create “The Automotive Art of Danny Whitfield” With the help of the networks and a wide spread audience Whitfield has become a cult phenomenon in the auto world. He art has gone worldwide and is known throughout the world. Whitfield offers something to the auto enthusiast that makes a deep inner connection to the soul. When you take the owner’s automobile who spent many hours on modifying, customizing, they have created a very special masterpiece. Whitfield takes that masterpiece and captures it in still life. Every auto collector is highly satisfied with the outcome. Like a memory of a newborn baby in still photos so does Whitfield captures the car with his art.”

Recently the fine folks at Road and Track wrote a piece about why Ford should take the new 2015 Mustang to Le Mans and we could not agree MORE! To truly celebrate the Mustangs 50th Anniversary and its availability in Europe for the first time Ford Racing should build a Mustang race car to take back to the legendary race at Le Mans! Not since 1997 has the thunder of a Ford V8 been heard on the most famous course in Europe although the Blue Oval has MUCH history there. Long ago Mr Carroll Shelby and his Daytona Coupes tested at Riverside International Raceway just a mile from our present day location here at Raceway Ford. He took his powerful Ford racers over to France and started a run of victories for Ford in Europe’s race that continued throughout the entire 60’s! Auto enthusiasts all across the planet look forward to the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and there has never been a better time to go back than now, and never a better car to do it with than the all-new Mustang! Our man Mike theCarGuy even started an online petition to let Ford know how many fans want to hear the thunder of a Ford V8 once again in France! You can sign it HERE:
Heads up Pony fans! You can now use the all-new Mustang online configuration site to build and price the Pony of your dreams! For the last year and a half or so Mustang fans have been chomping at the bit waiting for the arrival of the next generation of America’s favorite Pony, the 2015 Ford Mustang! To commemorate the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Mustang, Ford held a huge premier event here on the west coast at the world famous TLC Chinese Theater and our own Mike theCarGuy was lucky enough to get an invite and be there! There were hundreds of celebrities and members of the world auto press, and just like the famous star it is the new Mustang even left its ‘foot print’ in the wet cement out in front of the theater to be displayed next to stars like Steve McQueen! After starring in over 3,000 movies and TV shows the new Mustang had a LOT to live up to and it does NOT disappoint! From the outside its obvious that the new Mustang is breath taking and the performance is too! As huge Mustang fans ourselves we have been checking out each of the drawings, renderings and concepts that popped up online and we found many features we liked about many of them and the magicians at Ford seem to have read our minds and pulled together the things we that he liked about many different versions of the new Pony into one simply stunning package. The new GT is powered by a freshened up Coyote 5.0l V8 that develops 420hp and will also be available with the Launch Control (Line Lock) feature previously only available on the Shelby Cobra’s! At the other end of the spectrum is an all new 4 cyl, DOHC Turbo Charged EcoBoost engine that makes 305hp while also returning class leading exceptional fuel mileage! Out back the rear suspension is all new and fully independent, which means the new Pony will change the way you feel about the letters IRS forever! Quite simply the only thing the designers kept from the current platform is the way they spell Mustang! The 2015 wasn’t just re-styled, it was engineered with an intent to stir the soul, provide an intense yet incredibly satisfying driving experience and be the center of attention wherever it goes for a long, long time! The first 1,964 of this gorgeous new Mustang will be limited edition Mustang 50 Year Anniversary models to coincide with the 50 years since the delivery of the first Mustangs and there is already much anticipation, contact us at Raceway Ford for more information on how to get your name on the waiting list and stay tuned here for more info on this amazing new addition to Ford’s history of amazing cars! For even more detailed info on the new Mustang and some great videos as well our friends over at MotorReview have some really in depth coverage here: http://motorreview.com/2014/04/18/7-2015-mustang-videos/
The annual Detroit Auto Show, or as it is now know around the world The North American International Auto Show, never fails to open the year with automotive excitement and this year the spot light is shinning on the Blue Oval. Over the last week the floor plan for the show was revealed and in the Ford display area were designated spots for display vehicles codenamed ‘Hummingbird’ and ‘Phoenix’ which fueled the rumor mill to full output! We will get to what those had to reveal in a moment, first we want to get you the details as we know them for the third reveal of the first day of the show; the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor!
Building on the reputation of the most powerful and capable four wheel drive pickup ever factory produced, the next generation Raptor takes serious off- roading to the next level entirely! In addition to the all aluminum construction of the new truck making it lighter than the awesome truck it replaces the 2017 Raptor will get its power from a twin turbo 3.5L EcoBoost that will develop more horsepower and torque than the monster 6.2L in the 2014 if you can believe it! Power will reach the wheels through an all new 10-Speed automatic transmission and Raptor pilots will have SIX driving modes to ensure that power is used to its fullest! New driving modes include; Normal (everyday stuff), Street (spirited hi-performance driving), Weather (for inclement conditions), Mud/Sand (for typical off road stuff), Baja (when a high speed desert run is needed) and Rock (for the crawling opportunities)! Larger Fox Racing Shox with greater travel, tuned high flow dual exhaust and a bigger stronger transfer case are just a few more dream items on the massive list of improvements for this new beast!
Now, for the mystery of the Hummingbird…. This morning the cover was pulled off of the most powerful, track-ready Mustang ever built by Ford, the 2016 Mustang GT350R. And yes, the R stands for Ridiculously Awesome! From the all new and all amazing “19 CARBON FIBER wheels at each corner to the (now lower) roof this Pony is pure adrenaline top to bottom! Reworking the car for aerodynamic improvement the put the headlights at an inch lower than a stock Mustang and that’s not all! Out back there is a huge rear spoiler, also carbon fiber, which will help keep the hind quarters firmly land locked and help keep those massive tires gripping the tarmac! Maintaining traction was at the fore front of the Ford Performance Team because they knew it would be near impossible to harness the ponies that will be produced by the all new, first ever for Ford, flat plane crankshaft 5.2L V8 under the hood! Rumors have been flying and no firm numbers are available yet however its very safe to say that horsepower will be well above 500 and torque will be simply monstrous! At every point the eye focuses there is pure performance. On the outside there is a new rear diffuser and a multitude of new vents. Air coolers for engine oil and the 6-Speed manual transmission will keep the high revving action well lubricated and power will applied to the wide rears by a 3.73 ratio, limited slip Torsen rear axle. Set to go on sales later this year as a 2016 model racers and enthusiasts around the country have already made bee lines for their nearest dealerships to get their names on the waiting list!
And finally, the biggest news of the show, if not the year as a whole….. This morning Ford announced the return of an American built, world class supercar; the Ford GT! 2016 will be the 50th anniversary of Ford GT race cars placing 1-2-3 at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans and to honor that momentous occasion will be no less than the most advanced Ford supercar ever; the Ford GT featuring the most powerful EcoBoost production engine ever – a new twin-turbocharged Ford EcoBoost V6 producing more than 600 horsepower! Dreamed up by a passionate group of dedicated Ford Performance believers and then built with the specific intention of hunting Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and McLarens the Ford GT sets the new standard for the term Supercar. Built around a carbon fibers driver cell with aluminum front and rear sub-frames that have been encapsulated in structural carbon fiber body panels the GT promises an incredible on track driving experience with world class performance. From the huge ceramic disc brakes at each corner to the tear drop shaped, fighter aircraft inspires fuselage with enhanced visibility curved windshield, every aspect of the Ford GT screams ‘Full Bore Adrenaline Fueled Track Domination”! As it was meant to….
Full details will be coming soon on all three new additions to the Ford Performance line up and you can see more pics of the gorgeous GT HERE, read more on the GT350R HERE and the Raptor HERE. As always Ford fans, stay tuned here for the latest breaking news!
At the LA Auto Show this week Ford revealed the freshened up 2016 Explorer and let the automotive world know it is getting more than just a fresh face! Big news under the hood as the Explorer gets a transplant from the 2015 Mustang in the form of a new 2.3L EcoBoost 4 cylinder power plant that develops 270 ponies while providing a super strong 300 lb-ft of torque! Both the 3.5L Ti-VCT V6 and the class leading, twin-turbo 3.5L EcoBoost engines round out the available options. Inside and out the 2016 Explorer gets a host of new technologies! The available front 180-degree camera helps you see around corners, down alleys and out of parking spots. Second-row passengers with power hungry devices will find USB ports that will charge a phone or tablet at up to twice the speed of previous USB ports on higher model Explorers to make sure the entertainment never stops and there is a full charge once the destination is reached as well! Out back is an industry first rear view camera spray washer to keep your rear view always clear and the available hands free lift gate will make loading a breeze even when your hands are full. New to the Explorer line is the Platinum model that sets a new standard of luxury with sharp satin chrome accents throughout the body, from the unique Platinum grille to the rear liftgate, genuine wood accents throughout the interior, a standard dual-panel moonroof up top and gorgeous new 20-inch bright-faced wheels with dark painted pockets below. The standard, powerful 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 enables towing up to 5,000 pounds and the passing power to ensure a confident and sporty driving experience! Inside the Platinum edition is a new 500-watt Sony sound system sure to blow away even the staunchest audiophile and Nivana leather seating that will have drivers and passengers alike wanting to lock the doors and never leave! New sculpted exterior lines enhance the bold new look and more efficient LED lighting increases visibility while providing a striking new signature look. The 2016 Ford Explorer will be available for sale in Riverside early summer 2015 and pricing will be announced sometime in the Spring, stay tuned here as always for the latest information!
On November 11th the Detroit Free Press reported that the first of the all-new 2015 F-150‘s were beginning to roll off the assembly line from the Rouge Truck Plant if Dearborn! The all aluminum bodied truck breaks new ground for the Blue Oval and is the first mass production use of an all aluminum bodied pick up in the world. In addition the new 2.7L V6 EcoBoost has caused quite a stir in the truck world and is eagerly anticipated by many potential new truck buyers as the affordable power solution with an eye on the MPG’s. Here ate Raceway Ford we anticipate the first 2015 F-150 to hit the lot by the end of November so stay tuned right here truck fans for all the latest!
Each year in the beginning of November, before the temps drop into the chilly 60’s in the desert of Nevada the automotive world sets its collective sights on Las Vegas and the annual SEMA convention. The Specialty Engineering and Marketing Association, SEMA, holds one of the largest shows hosted in Las Vegas each year to showcase all the many thousands of products for the automotive world and has become a showcase for the custom, high performance and unique vehicles that populate the hundreds and hundreds of display booths. Over one hundred thousand visitors attend the show each year hoping to be among the first to see new products, tomorrows technologies and of course the cars that showoff both! Many companies use hot rods, race cars or special built show cars to highlight their products but over the years it has become a race to see what companies have managed to get their hands on the newest vehicles first and get their products installed in time to debut at SEMA. This year the excitement has been brewing about the two new additions to the Ford line-up, the all-new 2015 Mustang and 2015 F-150. With all the attention the new Blue Oval’s have been getting online we knew the floor of the SEMA Show would be crowded with customized Pony’s and trucks so we sent our man Mike theCarGuy out to Vegas on a one day mad dash to see as many of the new Mustangs and F-150’s as he could! Only having one day to see many hundreds of amazing vehicles made if difficult for our resident car guy to stop and admire the really awesome ones but he was able to take some great pics of most of the coolest rides in the show. In the Ford booth there were over a dozen new 2015 models that had all been customized in different fashions. The 2015 Expedition was at the entrance and it has received attention from master craftsman Neil Tjin, who’s brother had built the vehicle right next to it that also had the #StanceIsEverything attitude a 2015 Fiesta ST. Two rows of new 2015 F-150’s flanked the walk way and each was done up in a unique way to show just a glimpse of the potential for the new platform of Built Ford Tough. Racing figures like Vaughn Gittin Jr and Brian Deegan had their teams create some incredible versions of F-150’s that seemed as though they could be driven straight out onto the track and take the checkered flags both in a drifting contest and a serious off road race! The onto Pony row with nearly 20 versions of the all-new 2015 Mustang from a GT Convertible given the full treatment from Chip Foose to a special edition Pony from the Petty Garage, with the legend himself Richard Petty there to debut it! Also revealed was the 2015 Mustang King Cobra, a GT Fastback with Ford Performance accessories bolted on with no major modifications that ran a 10:97 in the 1/4 mile to showcase how easy the new Pony can be modified for serious speed! One Mustang that got a ton of attention wasn’t new at all, in fact it was nearly 50 years old! The Hoonigan him elf, Ken Block brought his latest toy to the show… the Hoonicorn. A 1967 Mustang notch back with an 850hp injected V8 stuffed into it and putting all that power to each wheel, yes all wheel drive! Watch for the next episode of his famous Gymkhana video series for more of this incredible car. Out on the floor it seemed that the new Mustang was definitely THE car to have for most of the companies hoping to attract attention to their booths and show off their product. Our friends at Gibson Performance had the Mustang they took delivery of right here at Raceway Ford all done up up and looking seriously sinister at the show! It doesnt look anything like it did when Mr Gibson took it home a few weeks ago! The cars and action spill out to the entire parking lot in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center too! In addition to what has to be considered one of the largest gatherings of custom and race cars on the planet there were also drifting displays and ride-a-longs with the Ford Racing School drivers. There was so much to see and so many great cars to take pictures of that Mike is trying to get us to send him for TWO days next year, we will see but for now enjoy the pics he brought back! Until then remember, the 2015 Mustang was named the ‘Hottest Car at SEMA’ but if you stop by Raceway Ford you can take one home and have the ‘Hottest Car In Your Employee Parking Lot’ or any parking lot for that matter!
Early next year, sportiness and utility will get an Edge in the SUV market with the introduction of the all-new 2015 Ford Edge. The new Mustang and F-150 may be getting tons of attention but the technology, engineering and style of the already great selling Edge will make it impossible to be lost in the hype of its sibling Fords! Based on the wildly successful new Fusion chassis “the all-new Edge has been remade in almost every single detail, always keeping in mind the customer, who expects something premium, powerful and special,” said Judy Curran, vehicle line director for Ford. “With a structure more rigid than ever and a suspension tuned to the highest global standards, the 2015 Edge is a high-tech utility that delivers a special driving experience customers will feel from their first moments behind the wheel.” The Edge will be the first in the Ford line to utilize new Adaptive Steering technology which will make for an easier and more exciting driving experience! At lower speeds, such as pulling into a parking space or maneuvering in tight quarters, the new system makes the vehicle more agile and easier to turn, as it dials more steering into the road wheel. Each low-speed maneuver requires less turning of the steering wheel. Two new engines will round up the three available power plant options, a 2.0L EcoBoost 4 cylinder that will develop 245 hp and a 2.7L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6 that will make well over 300 hp! Ford’s new Auto Start-Stop system will also be available with both EcoBoost engine options on the new Edge. In heavy traffic, at stop lights and in drive-thru’s this technology can seamlessly shut down the engine to decrease fuel consumption, reducing tailpipe emissions to zero while the vehicle is stationary. Inside there seems to be no limit to the new technologies that can be found from steering wheel mounted Paddle Shifters to a new 180-degree front camera with washer featured for first time on a Ford vehicle and a standard rear camera. Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support uses radar to detect moving vehicles directly ahead and change the cruising speed if necessary and active grill shutters on some models help improve aerodynamics and increase fuel efficiency as well. As always stay tuned here for all the latest details and delivery information on the new Edge in style, the 2015 Ford Edge.
During the last quarter of 2013 a new Ford F-150 was sold about every 42 seconds and for the last 37 years running it has been the best-selling truck built so when it came time to redesign the line you can bet strongly that Ford was not going to mess with success! As many of Fords loyal truck buyers use their F-150’s to earn their living with the changes had to be more than just skin deep and… they had to ensure that the term ‘Built Ford Tough’ still means the best built truck available! With the rising cost of fuel on everyone’s mind and hitting their pockets as well the new truck needed to be more efficient yet also be more capable than ever before. One way to increase efficiency is to find a way to lighten up the truck and Ford did just that. By expanding their use of aluminum to the entire body, the hoods have been aluminum for many years now, the new F-150 is a whopping SEVEN HUNDRED pounds lighter than the current model. Working with aluminum powerhouse company, Alcoa, designers have been able to use a thicker, military grade, aluminum (than normal steel panels) that actually resists dents more than the steel it replaces! By removing almost half a ton of weight from the truck Ford was able to increase payload and tow capacities while also improving the mileage of the all-new 2015 F-150! Making sure its lives up to its heritage the “F-150 boasts more than 100 new Ford patents and/or patent applications, making this vehicle a benchmark for new technologies in Ford’s storied history of truck leadership.” Knowing that they would have a ton of skepticism to face about using a truck body made entirly from aluminum Ford used some pretty crafty trickery and built many ‘test mule’ trucks that looked like the current model but had aluminum bodies and did NOT tell the three companies that they supplied fleets of the real-world test trucks to, one of which was a mining company! The results were incredible as the aluminum bodied trucks held up to the most grueling environments and treatment and provided proof that the new bodies will indeed prove themsleves to be worthy of the F-150 badge. Read more details of this amazing story HERE. In addition to the incredibly popular 3.5L EcoBoost Tiwn-Turbo V6 and the ever faithful Coyote 5.0L V8 Ford is giving F-150 buyers a new choice of engine with a 2.7L EcoBoost that is said to give the power of a small V8 with the economic fuel economy of a mid-sized pick up! We get new details weekly about the next generation of America’s truck so check back here often and for some great coverage of the 2015 F-150 also check out our friends over at MotorReview.com, they are pretty awesome about having the latest info and rumors!

Truck fans across the country have eagerly awaited any bits of information about the next generation of Ford's off-road beast, the F-150 Raptor and this week the Blue Oval dished all the goods at the Detroit Auto Show! With a twin-turbo EcoBoosted 3.5L V6 putting out 450hp mated to a segment exclusive ten-speed automatic transmission and thirteen inches of suspension travel with huge twin-chamber Fox shocks to cushion the fall back to earth, the all new Raptor is sure to have waiting lines at many dealerships this fall!
From the Ford Press Release:
"DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2016 – Eagerly anticipated and still unmatched by any auto manufacturer, Ford – America’s truck leader – introduces the all-new F-150 Raptor SuperCrew, adding agility, versatility and roominess to the toughest, smartest, most capable F-150 Raptor ever.
Developed with the DNA of a Baja race truck, F-150 Raptor is unique among off-road and performance vehicles, with a purpose-built engine, chassis and suspension that enables it to travel fast over challenging desert landscapes or crawl over rocky terrain.
F-150 Raptor SuperCrew with four full-size doors provides rear passengers with more legroom and comfort on the trails and more space to stow gear while exploring the American and Canadian wilderness. SuperCrew’s 145-inch wheelbase is 12 inches longer than the standard Raptor SuperCab 133-inch wheelbase.
“F-150 Raptor means superior off-road capability, from rock crawling to sand running,” said Dave Pericak, Ford Performance global director. “With the addition of SuperCrew, F-150 Raptor customers can leave the pavement behind – without sacrificing comfort and space.”
Advanced materials – including high-strength steel and high-strength, military grade, aluminum alloy – help save up to 500 pounds versus the prior Raptor for improved off-road prowess. Combined with all-new EcoBoost engine technology, the next-generation F-150 Raptor’s power-to-weight ratio has been improved, making the truck even more agile off-road.
Toughest F-150 Raptor ever
The all-new F-150 Raptor starts with a purpose-built fully boxed frame – the backbone of the truck – that is the strongest in the F-150 lineup, featuring more high-strength steel than the outgoing Raptor.
F-150 Raptor’s chiseled looks are reminiscent of Trophy Trucks – the fastest and most powerful class of off-road pickups. F-150 Raptor is 6 inches wider than standard F-150 for enhanced stability off-road.
The all-new F-150 Raptor also boasts its first-ever dual exhaust and new 17-inch wheels with next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires designed for off-road performance.

"DETROIT, Jan. 11, 2016 – The new Ford Fusion continues to be a game changer among midsize sedans, with the most technologically advanced lineup ever – including two hybrid models and a new all-wheel-drive Fusion V6 Sport engineered to leave other family sedans in the dust.
Fusion V6 Sport and the new Fusion Platinum add to a lineup featuring three EcoBoost® engine choices, along with two hybrids, Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid – something neither Toyota nor Honda offers midsize sedan shoppers.
“Fusion offers people a lot more car – including helpful technology, beautiful design and a more rewarding driving experience than other midsize sedans,” said Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president and chief technical officer, Global Product Development.
Together, Fusion V6 Sport, Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi, and Fusion Platinum offer three different flavors of an award-winning lineup for midsize sedan customers.
Fusion V6 Sport adds continuously controlled damping for real-time suspension tuning based on setup and road inputs. The system features pothole detection technology that, in less than the blink of an eye, adjusts the shock absorbers to greatly reduce the severity of impact transmitted to occupants. Power and handling are complemented by unique, performance-inspired style inside and out. The look is distinguished by an aggressive exterior with deeper air intakes and a gloss black-finish mesh grille, 19-inch wheels, rear spoiler and dual twin exhaust outlets."
With the N. American truck market all abuzz with the news that Ford will reintroduce the Ford Ranger here it is not surprising that racing fans are watching the world racing scene to catch the truck in action as the Coyote V8 powered Ford Ranger is set to take on the most grueling event in all of motor sports; the South American Dakar Rally #Dakar2016! From News24.com:
"Chile - The Ford Ranger V8s built in South Africa by Neil Woolridge Motorsport has been taken over by DMAS South Racing and former WRC driver Xavier ‘Xevi’ Pons and Chilean Daniel Valdes Mas will campaign them in the 2016 Dakar race. South Racing ran a Ford Ranger in the 2015 Dakar Rally for the Argentine rally driver Federico Villagra, but the team and its strategic partner, Chilean-based DMAS Competicion, have developed the car during the course of the year with suspension revisions, new engine mapping and chassis improvements.
'Dakar Rally a great challenge'
Villagra who has driven for the Citroen, Mitsubishi and Subaru teams at the top level of rallying, will have Argentinian Riccardo Torlaschi as co-driver. Mas will be partnered by fellow countryman Juan Pablo Latrach. Follow the team during the race HERE!

The DMV will continue to accept applications without payment to establish a waiting list should an additional amount of decals be authorized. CNCDA recommends dealers immediately pull any advertising mentioning the Green Sticker Program. Although DMV is building a wait list, CNCDA doesn't anticipate the authorization of additional decals.
The 85,000 authorized Green CAV decals were issued to applicants that purchased or leased vehicles meeting California's Enhanced Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emission Vehicle or Transitional Zero-Emission Vehicle requirements.
All CAV decals must be reauthorized for use by the Federal Highway Administration. If re-authorization is not granted, the Clean Air Vehicle sticker program may end sooner than state law currently allows. State law extends the use of CAV decals for enhanced AT PZEV or TZEV through January 1, 2019."
There may be a few vehicles still available at select new car dealers that already have stickers issued from the dealership applying for them at a prior date in advance. See your Riverside HOV/EV headquarters, Raceway Ford, for details.
